Asian Family
If one of them knows something, the whole community will know.

Fact #1 :
Yep. If someone in the family finds out your secret, you're doomed. Or at least, that is what happens in my family. No secret is safe with family members that you are not reeeeeally close to. Especially parents.

For example, if it's a good thing like, getting straight A's for some major exams, within an hour, the whole of my dad's office will know and they will be celebrating it by making my dad pay for their lunch.

Ivan brought Adeline back to dad's place for the second time and I was at the computer when they locked themselves in the room. Nothing bad will happen, right? I mean, they're not that dumb, right? So after a few hours, dad said that we have to get ready to go to grandma's place. As I was getting my stuffs from my room, Ivan came up to me.

Ivan ; Me

Hey, look at this. *points at bruise*
What happened..?
Some mosquito bit me. *chuckles*
What kind of mosquito bite is that...? o.o" (It looked more like a bruise than a mosquito bite.)

So after that, we got to grandma's place with Adeline too. And our cousin, Danny was back in Penang to attend a meeting.

Danny ; Ivan ; Me

(The following conversation was in Hokkien.)
Danny kor! *hugs* When did you get back?
Not too long ago. How are you?
Good.
Eh, Zhi Zhi (Ivan), what happened to your neck?
He said "Got bang ka." (Mosquito bite.)
Wha..? That looks more like a love bite. I bet the mosquito is here huh? * eyes Adeline and smirks* *turns to Dad* Eh, Ah Liang ku, (Dad) look what your son did! Even the girl has it.
Ehh..?
*sweat face*
And he said that in front of the whole family.
True enough, the whole family began questioning him and
yes, they're love bites.

So there are no secrets. Not really.


Fact #2 about my Asian family:
They have this weird Chinese accent when they speak English.
Well, some of them.

Example of the words and who said it.

Burger = Bird bird. (Which means penis in our baby language. Don't ask me why. XD I don't know either.)
Hot dog = Holog.

Granddaddy

Mercedes = Michilees.
Four = Por

Grandmummy

There are lots more. But I can't recall. D:

Why you so like that one? Can't even sits properly, ah?

Oh, did I tell you Grandmummy makes the best dishes ever? Man, you should try her fried chicken. It's out of this world.

Fact #3:
We do have lots of family gatherings and family reunions.
But it will never be the same ever again. :/

Fact #4:
Once someone in the family starts nagging, the other will too.
It's like the Flu. It spreads and can't be help at all. It's contagious! Just like grandma and dad during the Genting trip. Those old people won't stop naggy naggy nag nag away.

I will add more stuffs as soon as I remember what they usually do.
